Been thinking on and off about using she/it pronouns for Pikachu gender reasons (the fact that the games have a tendency to refer to Pokemon as "it" instead of gendered pronouns i.e. "It hurt itself in confusion")
But everytime I imagine a stranger calling me "it" causes my fur stand up on end and my skin to crawl. I don't get that same feeling when I imagine close friends doing it, but...I just don't want to give people any room to ignore the girl part of my gender.

You know i have been on the internet for a long time know, back when it was a whole different place (as have many of us maybe) and i really love thinking back about the times i spent on obscure niche (often german) websites, it was such a unique experience and it was like a little home in another dimension no one knows about.
Since then the internet has become so homogenized. Many of the niche and obscure worlds i was a part of just died before my eyes and we all just hang on these handful websites (or apps rather, let's be real) and we are so dependent on the mercy of our corporate liege lords, who took our freedom to design and govern our own little spaces in favor of profits.
