He really wasn’t intending on being around this mortal as much as he has. However, due to the fact she was capable of detecting his non-human qualities, questions were inescapably raised, questions Jongin still can’t fully provide answers too.
Despite his vague responses, she never pushes very hard. In a way, the muse feels as though Sora possesses a respect and understanding for his secrecy, seeing as she is subject to many of the same constraints in order to simply blend in with the living populace.
So no, he never planned on spending so much time with her. Yet it was happening. And during these encounters, the pair kept finding themselves in increasingly odd, humorous situations. This… was no exception.
“…Agreed—” He’s barely holding a laugh back, noting that in spite of Sora’s serious tone, she’s in the same boat. “Why does this keep happening, seriously?”
She soaked in the silence, the amplified pause between his question and the possible enlightenment she was to provide. A strong, mystified gaze she held with the male before her, lips parting to speak but words failing her.
But it seemed as if words weren’t needed. They were both strange, in their own way and yet, Sora could stubbornly argue that he was more so. There was no pulse, no sign of blood coursing beneath his skin-- he shouldn’t be alive, but here he was, mirroring her gaze, as real as anyone could ever be.
Unexpected serenity filled the air around them, chasing away the fear that once consumed her thoughts because there was only one significant other who could evade her abilities, and she wanted nothing more to do with them. But his eyes, though filled with mystery and secrecy, conveyed an addictive warmth and she relented.
“I am as clueless about that as you are...” And then she raised a question so innocent, yet every bit offending if it were to be directed to someone else other than the male before her. A whisper, weighed heavy with uncertainty and wonderment. “What are you?”
