hiya! no problem! i never really had a set plan or knew what i wanted to do at university until i was 16 and sending off my applications too, so itβs okay to not know! i wanted to do biology, but i didnβt have the a-levels my top unis were asking for, so wasnβt eligible. instead, i decided to do psychology for a few reasons: i found the subject interesting and enjoyable, i had a great teacher, and finally (and this isnβt a good reason to choose your subject) i found it pretty easy/straightforward! i was good at it, and while there were times it was challenging mostly it didnβt give me much trouble. psychology at university is very different. i realised i wasnβt studying it because i loved it, i was studying it because i knew i could do well in it. now, iβm transferring to do biology anyways! it took me a little bit longer, but i didnβt want to settle for doing something i didnβt enjoy just because it was easier. so! donβt worry if you unsure of what to major in, thereβs always time. it takes others (like me) a lil longer to figure it out, but youβll get there! try and think about what subjects you enjoy, what grades youβve worked really hard for, and where you want to see yourself in 10 years or so - what sort of career do you want to have? hopefully thatβll help you figure it out! good luck with school!
