I'm going to be honest here. It does seem by now it's getting dragged on more than needed. I can understand why some people would call it a smear campaign. Does it make it right to? No. In all honesty I wouldn't of seen this as real if you weren't talking about it mBECAUSE I remember you from Whachow.
But see, I shouldnāt have had to be the one that really spearheaded some peopleās awareness and trust of this story. With how some people have reacted (calling these women āvictimsā and being skeptical when thereās evidence right there, literally, Psyās name attached to verbal abuse and sexual comments) it really burns me up. Because Shannonās original post speaks volumes, has TONS of screencapped examples of what had been going on. And that was just her story. Filthy, Liz, Ame? Those three ALONE have enough visual evidence and testimonies that should sealĀ theĀ deal. Yet people are still skeptical.TheĀ definition of a smear campaign is a tactic that is an unfair or untrueĀ politicalĀ attack. A more generally used definitionĀ is anĀ organized reputation-damaging activity by a group. Each of these girls, every SINGLE one of them, was a victim of just that. SpearheadedĀ by Psy. Once Psy wasĀ done with one of them, heād condition everyone he knew who would listen to him to hate them. Heād tell horror stories to each of these girls about Ame,about Spring, about Liz. Heād send people after Shannon each time she spoke out against him, heād convince people that Filthy was someone to constant fling insults at. Heās chasedĀ dozens of women away using his abandoning andĀ silencing tactics, And I wasnāt the only one who watched.I think itās important that people like myself, Jake, and Meta speak up. Because itās obvious that people arenāt listening to the ACTUAL victims. Iām not sure WHY, theyāre the ones with the real evidence, the REAL horror stories. Iām a grown ass man and I canāt stomach reading the chat logs that Shannon has offered up as evidence. Itās THATĀ disgusting, but I know itās real. Because I know how Psy talks. I know what he says. I had a Livejournal once, I watched him make posts, I heard him go on rants. He had tried to convince me that people like Prasm were just āstuck up bitchesā back in theĀ day, and I know Prasm as one of the sweetest people Iāve met online since I arrived in 2004.Which is why this ISNāT a smear campaign. Nothing any of the girls have been saying is false. And considering what they WENT through? Some of them for YEARS? The verbal, emotional, mental, sexual abuse? It isnāt unfair either. Again, people are allowed to believe what they want, but I think youāve lost a little bit of respect with me if you can look at the INSURMOUNTABLE evidence against Psy, even in his own works where heāll bash, abuse, and overly sexualize these women, and STILL tell me that you canāt believe even a shred of it is true. These women suffered. I watched many of them suffer. They have a right to closure, if they wish it. But more importantly, they have a right to speak up, a responsibility to speak up, because this isnāt aboutĀ dragging Psyās āgood nameā through the mud. HeāsĀ done that plenty to himself. This is about healing. This is about warding future girls from his toxic predatory lifestyle. And my greatest hope is that people will get their ass in gear and just believe, or at least not attempt to invalidate the victims and their plight.
