1) depends on if the game is heavily story-driven. i'm not using any walkthroughs for half-life 2 but i'm using every guide available for starbound and terraria.

2) Valve. i love every one of their games and everything about them!

4) ATV off-road fury for nintendo DS. basically big rigs over the road racing, but with a worse framerate, worse graphics, and even more bugs. there's nothing stopping you from going off the track into a seemingly-infinite expanse of arena.

18) i wish my friends would try dwarf fortress, it seems like a game they'd enjoy but they don't really show any interest.19) N. i'd love to see the classic ninja platformer revived with more features and bigger levels!20) kirby: squeak squad for the nintendo DS. my friend showed me the game and i became obsessed, getting to the fourth world in one sitting!23) re-buying fire emblem: the sacred stones. turns out i became very risty at strategy games and i couldn't get past the fifth area.27) the ending of both pokemon mystery dungeon games, i'm really weak when it comes to things like that.28) i'd love to have an HEV suit from the half-life series! it'd be a good way to meet fellow PC gamers and half-life fans!29) depends on the game, and how bad the gameplay/story balance is. if i have to wait 10 minutes before gameplay, but the story is rich, it'll be fine. i prefer gameplay though, as evidenced by my love of games with almost no story, like minecraft or terraria.
