𝐇𝐄𝐑  𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐃𝐒  𝐌𝐀𝐊𝐄  𝐇𝐈𝐌  𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐏  𝐈𝐍  𝐇𝐈𝐒  𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐊𝐒,  and  he  swore  that  for  a  second,  he  could  feel  time  stop.  His  breath  was  caught  in  his  throat--How  the  hell  did  she  know  about  4STARZ?  They  had  very  little  merchandise  (  a  hoodie,  a  few  photo  cards,  ect  ),  one  album,  and...after  that,  they  had  'disbanded'.  Disappeared  without  a  trace.  Gone.  'Your  little  group  that  failed...Your  dream,  nothing  but  a  failure  from  the  start.'  Gwi-Ma's  voice  echoes  in  his  mind,  he  felt  like  he  couldn't  breathe.

𝐀𝐍𝐃  𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐍,  he  was  brought  back  to  reality.  No  look  of  discomfort  on  his  face  at  all,  despite  his  heart  pounding  in  his  chest  and  his  mind  twisting  around  in  his  skull.  His  head  tilts  as  he  looks  at  Zoey,  eyes  rolling  slightly.  Just...play  it  off  cool.  It's  fine.

he's never truly granted a moment of respite, even on one of his days off. always keeping an eye out, trying to ensure nothing goes wrong in the streets; what good is his musculature if he cannot use it for good ? people are always needing help, even those that are a far cry from the teary-eyed residents of the shelter. neither his concern nor his care falters. tiresome, sure, but it nevertheless perpetuates his fantasy of being a protector —— a fantasy desperately clung to, lest the weight of the world and his growing debts drag him down beneath the surface.

protection herein takes the shape of a sprinting figure shoving past him on the sidewalk. the force knocks him aside, pushes wind from his chest before he can make heads or tails of what played out. his head jerks back, sees a girl standing dazed, a little petrified. he knows what has to be done. feet slam into the pavement below, breaking out the agility typically reserved for sports nights at the shelter. the only constant in his mind is the absolute necessity to follow this creep, force back whatever what was lost into that girl's hands.

he keeps running, ignoring the exhaustion licking at his lungs. he runs until him and the assailant converge as one, and he may adequately levy the force of his weight against the opposite. exertion of the phone forcibly relinquished brings dae-ho to lose his balance, stumbling black in a gesture losing him any flair points the heroism granted. but ... he's got the phone back. awesome ! now all that's left to do is sprint back over to whoever that girl was. check on her, make sure she's alright. keep an eye on her.

so she was right — she wasn't imagining it. because, see, people might think that all silence and quiet are the same—but really, there's always a difference. sometimes a silence is comfortable, and that's the best kind anyone could ask for. sometimes it's just a silence from the night, because everyone else is sleeping, and taking their time to unwind. and then there's the—the tensed sort of silence. the kind that feels thick, that feels poisonous. lucy would know, they both would. they've been here before, after all.

lucy looks at her twin, @killingnotes, nervously: ❛ are you okay ? ❜

bathhouse? check. hiatus? check. ultimate relaxation? triple check. things are going well for the group, both professionally and personally, maybe even better than they've ever gone. it's just... "are you bored?" with the new honmoon holding strong, mira can't help but feel that there's something missing.

there is an almost dreamlike quality this moment carries: rumi, stripped bare - physically, emotionally - unafraid of the gentle, iridescent glow of her patterns; and zoey, breathtakingly beautiful and writhing beneath her.

but then her question about demons and skin snaps him out of his thoughts. his brow furrows slightly, head canting to the left as he thinks it over. "i...don't know. personally, i never have." his shoulders lift into a slight shrug. "can't answer for the others, though." he watches her warily, a part of him scared that she would be upset that he didn't know. he hadn't really had any friends before the saja boys, so he didn't know about the other demons and what their skin shedding abilities were.
