Shafts of Light
On the north wall of the now-roofless chancel in St Fachtna’s Cathedral, Kilfenora, County Clare, a fifteenth-century niche tomb is surmounted by the carved head of a mitred bishop. The shafts of light on the ground come from the three windows on the east end of the building.
