Really want to use this plot...
Muse A is the birth mother of muse B, and put her daughter up for adoption at 8 months old. Muse B has spent the last 2 years desperately trying to find her, after being told the truth about her adoption when she turned 18. She knows nothing about her, bar a photo of her mother aged 13/14 and a letter that was written for her at the time. Muse B is desperate to get to know her, and find out why she was given up.
Meanwhile, Muse A is now married to her older wife and pregnant with their first child. Her wife is completely unaware that Muse B exists but would not be surprised given she knows the background, a background Muse A is keen to block out
