Bastet & Kibum
She knew she’d have kids here. She wasn’t some God who fucked women left right and centre and left before they could even find out if the woman was pregnant. No, Bastet had her children, her lovely little mortal children that would wither like she could never. Mortal’s lives were fleeting, a tiny little event compared to the contents of the universe. It was why Bastet always had so much fun meddling in their lives. Their lives meant so much to them, even if it meant nothing in the long run. Though her family was a special case. Ra had crafted her with a sense of maternity. Though she usually did not care for mortals, she understood that any mortal family of hers on Mount Phoenix wanted something from her. Wanted to know who they were. She’d give them that, in exchange for... well, a sense of family, she supposed. Maahes was too old now to coddle, and he was off doing who-knows-what. Having his own children, most likely. Bastet found her son’s apartment easily. She’d climbed in through the window - a couple of stories be damned - and simply lay across his couch to await for his arrival. She crossed her legs, propped one of the cushions under his head, and had a nice nap.
