CAN DO BUDDY!!!

OKAY, so these are the main five of my original story i’m calling Astrean Phoenix. i’ve been working on this for a few years now and i feel like im in a pretty good place with it?? anyway on to introductions!

Altan Rathelheim: 17 | Magi-born | All his life Altan believed he was a relatively normal young man. But In a life-or-death encounter with a Corrupted Being, Altan unleashes his dormant magical powers, destroys the monster, and saves his best friend Banius. This sparks a chain of events that leads to Altan deciding he wants to do something worthwhile with his newfound powers; and he goes off to train in hopes of becoming a Peacekeeper.

Banius Sri’Lai: 18 | Common-born | Best friend of Altan, Banius is constantly getting Altan out of trouble. After Altan decides to go off and become a Peacekeeper, Banius make the decision to travel alongside him, knowing that his friend will need all of the support he can get. Despite not having any magical abilities himself, Banius does his best to protect one of the few people he cares about.

Mel Aiza: 18 | Magi-born | Almost a fully-fledged Peacekeeper, Mel is tasked with mentoring Altan. Although frustrated, she still takes on the task, knowing that it’s a step towards solidifying her status as a Senior Peacekeeper. A child of the powerful Kaerulum Family, Mel is expected to become the greatest Peacekeeper of her generation, just like the other Kaerulums before her. 

Khios Lumineris: 19 | Magi-born | Third child to Queen Heliste of Voleni, Khios feels restless and isn’t sure what his purpose in life is. He isn’t next-in-line for the throne by a long shot, and doesn’t have a role to fill in the castle, so Khios had left home for the neighboring country Edelmire. There he attends Ywell’s Academy of Magic, the finest school for training Magi-born, in order to receive additional training in the magical arts and find a niche to fill back home. So close to finishing his courses, Khios somehow gets roped into assisting in mentoring the troublesome apprentice, Altan.

Roriarden “Rori” Verabalt: 17 |  Magi-born | Roriarden is Khios’s retainer, who comes along in order to keep his charge safe. Rori takes immense pride in his work, and is very loyal to Khios. They have had their fair share of arguments, but Khios and Rori are still very close. There were past instances where a young Roriarden felt bitter about being born into a life of servitude to the throne; but these thoughts were quickly snuffed out as he eventually developed a friendship with Prince Khios. While at the Academy with Khios, Roriarden continues his physical training and practicing magic.
