⇴ trying not to think about the other person, so you do everything imaginable to keep them out of your mind (reading, coding, watching tv—you name it). but everything always comes back to them.
⇴ person a and person b start off as the only chill co-workers in the workplace, which creates a friendship between the two that could blossom into more
⇴ jealousy being the beginnings of a crush. person b wondering why they feel their heart sink when person a mentions that they're going on a date.

⇴ "why do i even keep you around?" "because you have a crush on me" "WHAT." how do they know how do they know how do they know
↑ whole time other person is just oblivious and said it just to fuck with the other one.
⇴ something that originally starts off as a friends with benefits situation develops into more over time. you don't know when you started admiring the crease of their eyebrow or the way their mouth parts when you do that thing. you don't know why it makes you feel so good seeing that.
⇴ holding person b's hand longer than usual, just because person a craves the skinship. meanwhile, the person b is practically on fire and keeps glancing at person a.
⇴ "and if you're not ready for this right now, then i can wait–" and the other person cuts them off with a kiss.
⇴ cutting people off with kisses in general. something so endearing about not being able to contain your love for someone that you have to express it asap.
⇴ that silence before a long, deep conversation between person a and person b. they're both looking around at anything but each other, when both parties want nothing more than to desperately reach out. (like they're spiraling not being able to talk to each other)
⇴ "so..." "so."
⇴ that feeling when person a knows there's someone behind them, but is too nervous to check in case it's person b. meanwhile, person b is highly anticipating person a to look back.
⇴ always (and i mean ALWAYS) managing to find each other even through the busiest of crowds. and having that moment where you two make eye contact across the room.
⇴ rubbing/scratching a body part (ex. back) and person a's hand lingers a little too low on accident. but they're freaking out and don't know what to do, so they just keep their hand where it is.
⇴ "if you wanna say something, now's your chance."
⇴ slowly watching person a walk away, even though person b wants them to stay. so, person b runs and tries to catch up with person a before they leave.

⇴ staying beside the other when one of them is doing something. person a is working relentlessly hard on this one task. person b is just sitting there next to them on the couch/bed holding their hand.
⇴ "do you think this looks reasonable or should i change it up a bit?" "maybe switch that up a bit babe" [followed by a kiss on the hand for moral support]
⇴ cooking a meal together in the kitchen with fun music in the back, with occasional messes on the other person's face. person a smears flour on person b's face and person b flicks water on person a's face.

⇴ person b can't take it anymore and grabs person a's face, hinging themselves onto person a's lips because they've (person b) wanted this for so long.
⇴ person a + person b are both looking for each other, and they wander all around the place until they finally meet in the middle, where they both crash into each other
⇴ enemies to lovers (kind of) because they're in opposite factions that feud. until one day they run into each other on accident, immediately want to kill the other, and get trapped together. slowly, they discover that their own factions are awful, and they must work together to stop injustice (mk storyline!!!)
⇴ super serious and put together b turns into pure mush at the sight of a. i'm talking the brain stopped functioning call 911 bc we think they suffered brain damage. no they're just in love with person a.
⇴ having their own secret code. whether it be hand signs behind their backs, secret looks, or secret touches—as long as it's a secret then i will eat it up.
⇴ getting so tired that person b falls and person a has to catch them. person b ends up laying their head on person a's shoulder, and person a is now stuck with person b
⇴ "i'm not falling in love" and they fall the hardest (idc how used it is i will eat it up until i die)
⇴ person b admiring how person a brightens up any room when they get excited. "the look of love" as some would call it
⇴ two people that help each other heal. they've both had rough pasts, and when they meet each other—initially they hate it but—things start to mend (hometown cha cha cha anyone???)

⇴ person a literally thinking they're the worst person in the world, and then there's person b, who can fight through the darkness and find the light
⇴ "you wouldn't understand!" "then tell me. i just want to listen."
⇴ person a's overworking themselves, so person b has to manually close their computer and put away their work and force them to sleep
⇴ person a stays up for person b to get home, but falls asleep. person b takes a ton of photos of them and then carries them to bed (and joins them later snuggling them ofc)
