Yeong Mi laughed quietly at his jovial outburst, “Ride or die? Did I promise that level of commitment? I thought you just picked me for my natural beauty.” Balling up the paper he threw at her, she tossed it back at him with a satisfied grin as it smacked him in the nose.
She went quiet for a moment, taking a thoughtful sip of her drink despite the casual atmosphere. “I’m over bad boys, remember?” A healthy eye roll bringing back her playfulness. Upon his declaration, her elbows rested gently on the table as the soft breeze kissed her hair, bearing the silky scent of orchid blossoms. Yeong Mi relaxed her chin onto the back of her clasped hands, inhaling the aroma, filling her lungs with the life of afternoon spring. “Oh?” she cocked her eyebrow in interest, leaning in with a slight pout on her full lips. “You think you can replace someone as special as me? I-”
Recoiling back into her seat with her arms now crossed, the woman huffed. Turning her head to the side she spoke, a poor attempt at nonchalant tones hiding her surprised contempt. “Go ahead then. You can can look for them yourself. Good luck.” Another huff. “I’m curvy...” she grumbled before eyeing him and shoving another large bite of her food into her mouth. Seungwoo and Yeong Mi had been friends since they had started college, and even back then he was always the best at riling her up. Obviously she was aware of it, but it didn’t stop her from falling for it every so often.
