I just read Shoot the Rabid, Splatter the Healthy and I really liked how much tension you built between John and Michael. The whole situation they wake up in is disturbing and claustrophobic, and I liked how the story gradually shifts from them being forced to rely on each other to actually developing a fragile sense of trust. John showing kindness toward Michael despite everything that happened between them was probably one of the strongest parts for me. The distrust and resentment between them also made their interactions feel really complicated and believable. I’m definitely curious to see how they manage to get out of that place and what happens to their relationship afterward.

I really love Michael and John, and STR,STH is one of my favorite fics of what I've written for them so far. That distrust and resentment, as well as the developing trust, is a very important part of how the story is going to go, so I'm really glad it's coming across as well as it is!
Where we're at currently is act 1, so there's still much to be seen, even after they make it out together. There's a lot more going on here than just an excuse to get my OTP to fuck >:3

This is the original one I've been writing where Michael gets a redemption arc, except he ALSO gets to go even more feral than he did in canon, and bc Kenshep is my OTP, it's also a Kenshep fic! ^_^
I haven't done much outside of outlining yet but I do have a snippet of dialogue I want to write between Michael and John, because one of the first things that gets Michael on the path to redemption is that he gets an actual, proper apology, so here it is:
(John) "What do you want from me?!"
(Michael) "Oh, I don't know, an apology would be nice!"
(John) "You want an apology? Fine! I'm sorry. I'm sorry we hurt you, I'm sorry we fucked up!"
(Michael) "Wait, you are?"
(John) "Yes!"
It hasn't been properly written in yet so that's why it's just some back and forth dialogue with no tags or anything, but it's the piece of dialogue that inspired the entire fic!
