Ken has been grieving Din for so long but he's never put any closure on that grief because of the guilt he has for how he died but also because of that denial, because he doesn't want Din to be dead and no one could prove it and now he's back in Thailand, back where they shared a life, facing the emptiness that he tried to leave behind but never did, only broke down and clung to the void of where Din was as all he had.
And now he's met Lue, a stranger with black gloves and kind eyes and compassion who wants to be around him, seems to show up at odd times and in odd places and is there for Ken in a way that none of his friends, all also carrying Din in their minds and in his memories, can be.
