very impawtant question: how do you pronounce keneaelu. my best friend keeps saying "kenny aye loo" and im slowly accepting it as truth but i need your pawfessional opinion.
that's really close actually! so like, kene is actually the Māori word meaning sludge, mud or mire-- which is lore relevant uwu. I added a link to Te Aka Māori Dictionary, so you can hear the pronunciation there^^ (if the link doesn't work, just lemme know)
"aye loo" for aelu is spot on tho, so yay!
haven't even made ref sheets for species bc I've been busy, but-
I'm debating on making Keneaelu a closed species, and having a subspecies of it that is completely open! Keneaelu are incredibly personal to my identity, my journey into being nonbinary and neurodivergent. It's an amalgamation of my personal interests
I know I don't need to give reason for making it a closed species, but it's too important to me to just... toss it in the wind...
