Again I struggle with this. Because I totally agree. Fassbender was great and I hated him sooooo much in that movie (who wouldn't???) but again, Jared Leto was phenomenal too. 12 Years A Slave and Dallas Buyers Club were two of the best movies this year and they both have really important messages in them, I hate that they have to compete against each other.
Also, (and again as much as I loveeeee JLaw) I reallllly want to see Lupita take home the Oscar. 12 Years definitely deserved more than just Motion Picture Drama tonight.

I agree with the anon. I got a screener of it to review and I was so bored! I kept checking to see how much time was left. But bless J. Law, Bradley Cooper, and Louis CK for keeping me interested at least.
i can see how it wouldn't be a movie for everyone. like i told the anon, the beginning did drag. but after it got over some things time seemed to fly by.
i think everyone's acting in it tho was superb. like i didn't even recognize christian bale. and i think jen's character brought a lot of life into the movie and that helped it pick up.
