Filigree Glass Wall Art - I’m sure most know the word Filigree, it refers to fine line work, latticework that is open and not filled in. This is just that... we’ve strip-cut our glass from sheet form, we are cutting it to match our design, then we will be bonding or fusing it essentially. Not kiln fused, cold-bonded in this case. This intricate work of art will be wall mounted, so it will be secure to a wall. Chiseled Splendor... more fun in studio today. We’ve done a ton of chiseled glass in the last 6 years, today we have a new twist in it. I usually use a single thickness of glass, sometimes I vary a couple thicknesses. Never have I mixed it like this.., 1/16” to 1/2” and three colors, low-iron, standard clear(green) and literally green glass. Most are chiseled edges, some not, just for variety. It is crushed blue glass mixed with crystal and black glass, it is hang ready and can be installed tight to about 24” x 44” or loose to 36” x 60”. It is 28 independent squares 5 5/8” in size about 5/8” thick off the wall.
