It was cold on the water, and a little slow of a fishing day, but still an amazing day experience with a Beatz view. I ended up catching my first Calico Bass aka the Kelp Bass, in the waters off of Catalina Island. There was an assortment of fish caught by the others onboard, ranging from barracuda & sheepshead, to blue perch & more bass. I brought my meal-sized catch home smothered it in lemon-garlic cream sauce, and paired with a side of parmesan onion asparagus. Ok, so, I’ve read a fucking lot of books since I was a child. Just. So Many. I have a lot of favorites too. I love both books and poetry, so this is a rough question. Right this moment I’m going to go with The Last Unicorn, because I’m feeling sentimental. Yesterday my answer would have been different. Tomorrow it’ll change too.

Spiced apple cider reminds me of winter trips up into the mountains. I miss being able to go up there when it’s snowing. There’s a little coffee house that I love that makes some of the best hot apple cider I’ve ever had in my life.
