kellisworld reblogged your post: Can we petition to wait or something?
Are we really still going on about this? Its a TV show. A fucking TV show. I love it as much as the next person on here...
Hey now mate, no need to get your back up. I don't know how long it's been since the news came out, since I only found out about it just now after I got home from work, but I don't see any harm in the post I just reblogged. It's not having a go at anyone for the decision to push Still back; I honestly don't think I am just speaking for myself alone when I say that it was absolutely the right decision to make.
That said, stating that you wish something could be otherwise is not the same as disagreeing with it. Yes, it seems selfish to complain about something so trivial, but humans are inherently selfish, and Tumblr is designed to be a place where we never have to hide our true feelings. Am I irked at the thought of my favourite show being aired out of order? Yes, because for me, it makes it harder to completely dive right in and escape reality (which sometimes we all need that break from) when my logical mind is continually jarring me out of the story because of potholes in the continuity.
So does that small feeling of disappointment then make me a bad person? No. I am not a robot. What happened in Boston was horrific, and while I may be worlds away from what happened-- in more ways than one-- it still doesn't mean that I don't care. Hell, shit like this is one of the major reasons I went into medicine.
Regarding that original post, though; it appeared, to me at least, that the OP was stating their own disappointment in a completely reasonable manner, and putting forth an idea that could solve the issue held by many fans whilst still being respectful to the victims. Undoubtedly everyone would have read it slightly differently though, so if that's the case, fair enough.
But whatever our views, let's not start fighting over it. I can totally see why the post could be upsetting, and I would be totally happy to discuss the whole thing further if wanted. I just don't think we should let problems break out amongst us all just because it's a sensitive time and emotions are high.
So, to anyone in the Castle fandom that bothers to read all this-- the news of the switch is going to cause some differing opinions, but that does not mean anyone is particularly right or wrong. The best we can do is just support/tolerate each other and be thankful for what we have.
Plus, think of the amazing episodes to come.
