Our half-dozen or so bluestreak cleaner wrasses have set up a "cleaning station" right in front of one of the windows!
Larger fish, such as this young emperor snapper, are attracted to cleaning stations by the wrasses' movements and bold colors. The wrasses then get to work, plucking parasites from fins, scales, and even the inside of their clients' mouths and gills!

The Tale of the Accidental Penguins
Our zoo has some accidental penguins.
The penguin building has been there for 11 years now, and almost hasn't changed at all, except for the Accidental Penguins.
Prior to their arrival, the building was composed of an outdoor habitat with Humboldt penguins, and a larger indoor exhibit with king, gentoo, and rockhopper penguins. Since its construction, this building has been a staple of our zoo and is especially popular on extra hot days.
And then came a shipment of the wrong eggs.
We had requested three rockhopper penguin eggs from another zoo that, frankly, I can't remember the name of. However, the chicks that hatched from these eggs were definitely not rockhoppers. With a black bill and feet and a white face bordered by an eponymous stripe, these were chinstrap penguins, not gentoos.
How might this have happened in the first place? Well, let's talk about penguin eggs.
Penguin eggs are dirty beige and conical in shape. Their shape prevents eggs from rolling off of a nest or a parent's feet, as a cone will only roll in a circle. However, almost all penguin eggs happen to be beige and conical, which means telling them apart can be difficult.
Nevertheless, we have chinstraps now and they're thriving! :D
Happy pride month from this yellow-headed wrasse, who at the moment is transitioning from female to male! Wrasses are sequential hermaphrodites and change sex as they age.
Hey what’s the hairstyle you have in the most recent photo of your Wol? It’s absolutely adorable but I can’t find it myself-
Thank you!!!
Happy Timezone! I'm gonna start this off by saying I know that mods are a weird topic in the community, but I think if you're just changing the way your character looks and not altering gameplay, it's probably fine. That being said, the hair I'm using is a mod and if you want to message me or come off anon, I'm happy to share where I got it from. Thanks for the ask!
