True love is a God centered decision and experience. God didn't make Eve for Adam to replace Him. Neither could you gather that she became Adams world. Adam was created for communion and fellowship with God. Eve was created for that purpose too, and to also join Adam in communing and fellowship with God. They were created to love God and each other as well. Obsession is a form of idolatry. Idolatry is a form of praise and worship. Praise and worship is a form of reverence. Reverence is to have the utmost respect and adoration for something or someone. It's a way of bowing or clearing a path for what you deem as important. Obsession is uncontrollable. It's vile. It's angry. It's suffocating. It's insecure. It's dangerous. It's life taking. And while it appears to look like love, the fruits of its spirit isn't rooted in love. Obsession is the antithesis and the negative of the fruits of God's Holy Spirit.
