Circa 2003...Lee Schaller’s Marketing class at HCC. Our group project was to do a marketing plan on a local business. We decided to do it on @hiltonhawaiianvillage. We toured the grounds with the Marketing/PR Director at the time. I took everything in...the atmosphere, the feelings I got from just being there, nearing sunset. It was beautiful to say the least...Heck they even had penguins! My primary role was to come up with a 30 second radiouro commercial, however i wanted. i recited it at presentation without even looking at my notes . What Lee told me stuck with me all of these years, esp since she worked in the Honolulu Advertising industry for years and years. She was very impressed. Lee said she’s never seen that much passion from any level of a student, on a project, before. i knew right then and there, even if i was a graphic design major > computer networking major (graduated🤓) > electrician apprentice, that i was destined to become a marketing major eventually (graduated📜) . 14 years later here we are. Still with that same burning passion that never left me. This is one of those qualities that is unique to me, because i know not everyone is able to express themselves quite like myself nor appreciate it on any level . I’ll always be proud of who i am and the work & effort that i put out. Passion. Commitment. Ethos. You cannot teach those. You either have it, or you don’t .
