Hello sunshines! So you know, I've been away for a while. Not for any particular reason really. I just didn't have that much to tell. But now that I think of it I do have tons to tell to you! First I'm going to tell you about my bachelor's thesis which is almost done. You can see some really pretty nepheline syenites there above. If anyone of you recognizes the first yellow minerals, which are actually yellow in plain and crosspolarized light (the microscope was not that good), then please tell me what the hell those are. I have no idea. They are found in a kaxtorpite! Then there's some lovely lovely aegirine, nice lamellar twinning in feldspar and some nepheline in the upper corner. Pretty. Pretty little grennaite. And then there's two pics of open vug natrolite with aegirine and all that...everything. You can also actually see the open vug zeolites there in the next pic. Aaaand then we have pretty fenitization in the last picture in the catapleiite. Yeah so that's what I've been up to lately. More updates coming as we go along. ;)
