THEY ALL LOVE EACH OTHER!!!!! falls short of otp bc I feel like everyone has a very specific idea of what the dynamic should be like but imo the other two were in love with jiraiya and he loved them back but he was stupid about orochimaru (and vice versa) and that’s part of the reason everything fell to shit lmao. but I also love orotsu “best friends with benefits but only if jiraiya is there” bc like it’s funny and sweet but also deeply sad. I have a few favorites that are mostly based on animation quality/overall cinematography like Rock Lee vs. Gaara (duh), Orochimaru and Sasuke’s fight in the Forest of Death, Hinata vs. Pain (only in the anime obviously lmao), Taka vs. Killer Bee……..also Gai vs. Madara is up there even though the animation isn’t as impressive………I’m also like, contractually obligated to enjoy the Uchiha bros vs. Kabuto fight even though I have many, many problems with it and my secondhand embarrassment is INTENSE when I watch it lolol

but like. idk who I’m fooling. it’s the Sannin fight, it will always be the Sannin fight. I hate that my 13 y/o baby sapiosexual ass fell in love with Kabuto during that fight but it’s a fact I have to live with

i literally think about this and forever hc that kabuto still has identity issues when he looks in the mirror cuz of this. like for the longest i had this idea of kabuto not forgiving himself and struggling to have contentment in his person, and urushi’s/anyone’s forgiveness and support (cuz urushi seems like that type that would be like “ITS YOU! YOU’RE YOUR OWN PERSON. YOU’RE STILL MY LIL BRO! IT’S OK” like…..shit keeps me up at night.

This is a Good headcanon esp because I love......Urushi.........like I would probably have way more issues with the ending than I already do if I didn’t love Urushi as a concept so much lmao. Just someone who’s willing to give Kabuto a chance and treat him with respect and support even though he 10000 percent Does Not Deserve It (and tbh I feel like Kabuto’s awareness that he doesn’t deserve it would probably cause some tension between them bc honestly??? Miss me with the whole idea of him becoming Good Right Away because he has people who Believe In Him like??? I’m BORED!!!!! Less of that and more of Kabuto self-sabotaging bc even on a good day he has trouble making the effort to be Not Shitty, even with the added guilt of potentially disappointing Urushi)
