The Problem With 17-Month Planners
Seriously. These 17-month planners piss me off. They make no sense whatsoever. And any shop that promotes these as "academic calendars" can go take a flying leap.
I mean, how does August 2014-December 2015 sound like a good idea to anyone? What am I going to do after December? My next planner doesn't start until August!@$!@#$
I realize some people like to play it safe and start in January, end in December. But if that's the case, would those people want a Jan'15-July'16 planner? Probably not. They'd want their damn planner to end in December so they can get a sparkly new one in January, dammit!
Not sure about you, but I often have a hard time committing to accessories/office supplies, so I revel being able to change things up after 12-months. Making me wait for 17 is just cruel and nonsensical.
We really need to stop this 17-month planner trend before it gets too crazy. Just this summer while I was shopping for my current planner, I was nearly bamboozled into one because it was advertised as an academic planner. Thanks, but I do not need to carry around five extra months.
Stop the madness.
