ever since that little fic i read on here with herman calling his grandma bubbe i’ve been rotating my religious headcanons for him and ziggy in my head. i think ziggy was raised roman catholic and is now like very italian folk magic catholic with it, plus some dominican influences (i need to do more research on that once i’m finished w finals.) very superstitious and i feel like she’s planting medallions and little objects for protection and luck and etc on her loved ones all the time. she gives her cornicello necklace to herman when they start dating fr. herman i think is a mostly humanist jew who just does standard cultural practice without ascribing much religious meaning to it. i do think he wears the magen david - and imagining it next to ziggy’s cornicello is making me emotional omggggg
