The doorbell rang for the nth time, you let out a deep sigh of desperation and yelled; “Didi! Stop ringing the doorbell! I said I’m almost done, I just need to finish my makeup!”.
In fact, the door was already open, and you had already let Ziyang, Yue Yue and the aforementioned boy in. However, Ling Chao had decided to keep ringing the doorbell, both because he teasingly wanted to upset you and to tell you to hurry up because he was impatient to go to the cinema.
—”Don’t look too pretty or Bu Fan won’t let you into the theatre” —Yue Yue said, rising his voice so that you could hear him from your room. You asked him what he meant, but he never replied and just laughed with the other two.
Soon after that, you were ready to go so you went out of your house with the guys and got inside Yue Yue’s car so he could drive you there.
—”It’s a pity that Fanfan is working today, he really wanted to see this movie too.” —You said, to which Ziyang replied.
—”He said he was going to ask one of his co-workers to cover his shift for the time the movie lasts so that he can watch it with us.”—You would have taken your phone out of your purse to text him and tell him to not do that, because what if his boss found out? You two could go to the cinema some other day.
But then again, you didn’t know when that ‘some other day’ would be, and you two didn’t have much time to meet lately when trying to balance your relationship with both his work and both your studies, so you just wished it’d work out and all five of you could watch the movie together.
In less than 15 minutes, you were already waiting in the queue to buy the tickets for the movie. There weren’t really a lot of people, so actually you doubted the person covering bu fan’s shift during the movie would have much of a hard time.
—”Excuse me miss, you’re not allowed in.” —
—”What?” —You asked, clearly not catching what Bu Fan was trying to do.— “What do you mean I’m not allowed in?” —
He smiled, and before he had even replied, you couldn’t help but smile too.
—”I’m sorry, but snacks are not allowed in the cinema.” —He said, and you laughed. He laughed too, happy that you caught his joke.
—”Are you for real?” —You said while Bu Fan still laughed.— “Well, I guess we’re both going to have to sneak in, since I don’t think you’re actually allowed to go into the cinema right now either.” —
He stopped laughing when he remembered that he was working, and that after he was done watching the movie, he would have to go back to working again. He rolled his eyes and sighed. He walked out of the small room where he and his co-worker had been working selling the tickets and once he was beside you, he grabbed your hand and quickly walked inside the cinema together.
