I finally watched A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms and god it was so so good. I’m still thinking about it. I hate that it was only six episodes bc I need more, but I also love that they told the story they needed to in the time they needed to tell it, without dragging it out or rushing. Everything was so well measured. It was light and felt lived in, the comedy was well balanced alongside the dramatic. It didn’t feel showy or grand. It was kinda refreshing.
But what really blew me away were the performances. I haven’t read the novella(s) so I can’t say how well they hold up to their book counterparts but everyone was cast perfectly to their role. Everyone did so much with whatever screen time they had, and some of that was quite minimal. They were so good I’m honestly so sad we don’t get longer with some of these characters. I need spin-offs about Lyonel and these Targaryens right now. Just incredible work all round.
I went out for afternoon tea with my mum for my birthday and she wanted a soft drink as well as tea, there were no menus so we had to rely on the server reading off the tablet. She suggested some nice flavoured lemonades and similar. I don’t drink tea or coffee so I asked for a soft drink. I thought she was going to say the same thing… no, she told me they had things like Diet Coke etc. and juice. And even though I wanted one of the more pricey lemonades (didn’t know what flavours they had yet) I panicked and said I wanted juice. literally freshly 29 and she was recommending me a range for much younger person. I thought I was past being thought of as a teen lmao
I just moved my bed and I hate it I hate it but it’s way too much effort to put it back
crying two teen girls, about 13 I think, asked for my help because they found a pigeon that was “attached to” one of them. They had it wrapped up in a jacket, may have been injured as it couldn’t fly. It was just chilling. I wish I had been more help in the moment but I was just like ??? so I only thought of what to say after they left (bc their mum text them to bring it home, crazy)

edit: serializd know about the influx of tvtime users and are upgrading their systems so I’m gonna be nice about them. I’m sure it’s gonna be wonderful to use

despite having to wait agesss, my appointment went fine and very quick. It was a male doctor but he was really nice actually and knowledgeable, not dismissive at all. A rarity. I think he could have asked more questions but he just wants to get on with the tests. Which means more bloody appointments lol but fair! he’s actually doing something
