So my first kiss was with my current boyfriend on my 16th birthday in May and it was so unbelievably awkward but it was sweet as heck and needless to say we've both gotten better at kissing since then, but it's still a memory I enjoy sharing. ☺️ hope you're getting some good stories from others.

So I've been cornered by my wonderful friend Katie to say 5 things I like about myself publicly so here goes:
How tiny my hands are - people like comparing their own and i'm like "the special" because my hands are smaller than some small children's
I'm at the perfect height and build that a lot of kids XL shirts fit me and I can therefore buy cheaper NHL gear
I can be easily amused by the acquisition of pennies and that I haven't lost the thousand of them I currently possess in a jar
My ability to find good friends...still not sure how I managed that really
My memory - without it, how would I remember the capitals and flags of every european country and all the current hockey news

I'm not there yet (unsurprisingly i don't end up finishing much, which is awfully sad) but i think it'll culminate in a scene full of warm light and forest fire and scared-out declarations, and then decrescendo into blues and whites and "are you sure?"s that leave some characters happy and others heartbroken. jeez, i'm vague, but to be honest i haven't thought it about it very far beyond color. i like to think of scenes in terms of color.
mainly i'm writing about small town teens in a past decade, and what it means to branch out and let go and move on while still carrying pieces of your past inside of you. there will be dry winds and lots of ash and a devastating sense of loss, but i've never written an ending that was anything less than hopeful.
i want it to end with the main characters realizing that they're ready to face whatever demon's been following them around, even if they're scared. they'll finish strong. they'll finish so strong.

The idea of being productive that day. It usually ends in failure, but it's the thought that counts, right? Or, if that fails, a kitten standing on your bladder is always effective.
124. Do you believe in love at first sight?
No. I believe in infatuation at first sight, but love takes knowing someone. It takes knowing how they type and what emotions they're portraying when they type a certain thing a certain way. Love takes knowing exactly what will get a person out of bed each morning. (This is why every morning for the past almost year, Alice has let Pumpkin back into my room each morning, knowing that at some point, he will stand on my bladder and demand attentions). Love takes knowing a person. Not just their name and their schedule. It takes knowing them on an intimate level.
