Hey, I know it's been a long time since you last updated you Negan story, but I was curious if you might update again? I just blasted through it and really enjoyed it!
oh this is so flattering!! uhhh the long answer is that I'd like to return to it at some point bc I was pretty happy with the emotional arc of the story and had the next few chapters outlined (and in fact, one is written and sitting in my google drive) but it's also been so long since I worked on it that I'd want to go back through and edit the whole thing pretty thoroughly before I was ready to continue building on it and don't know when I might do that. the short answer is we'll see!
Hi Silver Queen!! I've been rereading DOS from midway through and have to say it's just as good the second time around! Anyways, I just got to the part where Shikako nearly gets kidnapped after her fight with Gaara and was wondering if you ever thought of writing the scene from an outsiders POV of the event. Say, Kakashi? His reaction during the chapter really say a lot, but it would be great to see his POV of the whole fiasco. Any chance of doing so?? :)
Hey, jacksgreyson here, I apologize for swooping this ask but I figured I was capable of answering it. There’s actual a (much shorter) story that SQ writes called Sunshine Sidestories–which is, as you mentioned, different scenes from outside POVs. In fact, Chapter 16 is Kakashi’s reaction to the Grass Chuunin Exam attempted kidnapping, so you may want to check that out. :)

First off, thank you so much for dropping by my page and into my askbox, you have no idea how happy this message made me when I read it! :D
Secondly, I am most definitely writing more CITS, in fact technically I am working on the new chapter right now thanks to a pep talk from one of my writing friends today. I’m hoping the new chapter won’t take too long to finish as it’s already half written, although I’ve probably got a couple of thousand words to go yet!

Hi Silver Queen! I've been thinking about writing a Naruto fic recently and have begun thinking of the uses of chakra, ninjutsu, and bloodline limits throughout the story. I'm just curious about how Shikako's abilities evolved. How did you come up with her jutsu's? Her ideas with seals? Did you begin planning her abilities early on during the story? Or did it naturally evolve as you wrote?
A lot of it has just naturally evolved! I like to make sure things are supported and logical, so they need to build off of each other. A big inspiration for the Shadow Just being a ‘spiritual type’ was that it was supposedly unable to be copied by Sharingan - so I wanted to build a reason for that. A lot of it is just playing with interesting ideas and seeing where they go… which is pretty close to what Shikako is doing in-world.

Your story is such an inspiration to other writers out there! :) I have a question: Will the fact that some ninja were trying to kidnap Shikako after the Chunnin Exams be brought up again in the plot? What about her ability to "resist" the chakra sealing bloodline? Thanks! And I'm eagerly waiting for your next chapter (the last was so good!).
Well, the Blood Prison is going to come back. Eventually. And that whole thing is all tangled together.
