A solid 3.8 stars , could be better , could be worse . A enjoyable read.

The whole book was certainly a wild ride of emotions and twists so my opinion fo the book changed through out , as you can see in my review .

Funny but not the same level as books by Navessa Allen or Byrne weave . Like it has a sense of humour but wasn’t hilarious just a nice level of witty sarcasm .

Didn’t mind the plot that’s what made me read to the end .Every thing could have been better and could have been worse . I think the whole plot around the secrets Regan’s dads keeping cause that’s was really intruiging. I juts love a good corrupt conspiracy vibe . The secrets just made me go : OOOoooooh

I think you have to be in a certain mindset to read a book like this , cause at the beginning I didn’t really like it but that’s cause I wasn’t in the mood for a dark read. Ya know , cause when ever I had the dark mindset i throughly enjoyed it . And at the end when the secrets are revealed and explained it was amazing cause I felt bleh before and it made me so like fascinated , brain cogs turning and such .

It was like an average version of lights out or the ruinous love trilogy . Not disappointing but juts a solid read .

When reading I love this book . I love the dynamic of the main characters and I’m a sucker for found family and the slight sound family with rook , Evie , Mason and that lot makes me very happy.

I love how devoted they become to eachother , I juts love their loyalty to one another .they’d kill for eachother (literally).

Rooks past . That fire kept making my cry . Juts the idea of everything being gone but my sister makes me well up. it’s the same and Josh’s past in lights out like I need to stop crying over fictional men’s past traumas . It’s not healthy or productive .

All characters funny in some level . Or likeable except for the ovs « bad guys » .

They had that fucking third-act break up and I wanted to destroy it . Like the concept of a third act break up cause Fuck OFF !! Then to solve it he moves in with all his friends …basically raiding her house . Umm not chill but the scenes after do very much give the beginnings of Beauty and the Beast when she won’t go down for dinner, which made it a smidge more likeable….but like broski.

To guys complaining the bar is too high , Rook got Regan back by promising not to kill her dad . Like that’s it and being good looking , that’s it . So maybe stop complaining .

Idk why but I love a plot twist if a fake illness like in forever after all with the mum in the forced coma like th a dads fake illness is so good ! I swear cause I never predict them !!! Like that was a proper plot twist omg!

The inner turmoil of Rook and the revenge plot is so frustrating due to it for most of the book being one big non/lack of communication issue but the actually revenge in the last 90% is so yummy and so full of twists and turns. À proper frantic finale for a good book.
