I love the idea of this ship but I hate the idea of doing the stereotypical gay shipping stuff with them. Where the shippers only really focus on what the other's character lacks and how the muse compliment each other (to explain why they omgsogay!). It's not that I don't feel they do, it's inevitable! I also cannot see this ship being a thing in a canon world setting (unless it was some secret affair thing?? but that's pushing it). Hinata would be expected to have children and marry a male (& I still feel it would be with a clan member /for obvious reasons). Sakura.. just, in canon she's straight? it's just that feeling I get, it’s apart of her makeup.
But in a modern setting? Yesssssssss !!I always fall into the idea of these two not necessarily being "gay" but.. most definitely are close. & simply accept the choice to explore life with the other. A dysfunctional insecure mess of.. girl/girl shit.
