Article 370
Well, today is the D- day when the Modi government, the Modi - Shah duo has revoked Article 370 which has been an impediment in the success and progress of our nation. India has always been a defensive country. She acts when she is reacting.
History is a witness that when Pakistan is born out of India, how can Kashmir belong to them. Well, that’s a separate issue and I do not want to debate on this in this article.
The moot point is that first time since independence we have a government which is addressing the real issues of the country. Though they have planned the entire sequence of events very strategically and left no stone unturned to get justice for the deserving citizens of India.
We have Ladakh and Jammu who have been enduring agony just because of Article 370. I want to quote the preamble of the Indian constitution here.
“ WE, THE PEOPLE OF INDIA, having solemnly resolved to constitute India into a SOVEREIGN SOCIALIST SECULAR DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC and to secure to all its citizens JUSTICE, social, economic and political; LIBERTY of thought, expression, belief, faith and worship; EQUALITY of status and of opportunity; and to promote among them all FRATERNITY assuring the dignity of the individual and the unity and integrity of the Nation.”
What kind of equality, liberty, and justice we have been talking about? The benefits being provided by the central government for the citizens of the whole nation are not applicable to the citizens of Jammu and Kashmir like no institutes of higher education at Ladakh, non implementation of Right to Information, Right to Education, Abolition of Child marriage, Right in favor of Manual Scavengers, Ayush yojna etc etc etc. The people of the valley were deprived of these rights while the rest of India was heading towards the zenith.
Ending this practice, the MODISHAH has given hope to the valley for progress and inclusiveness. This is indeed a historic move and we should support it as one. A nation is an idea, a feeling that keeps us together. Till the time we dnt share similar emotions, there will always be tiff. and MODISHAH is on the way of “YEHI SOCH TO BADALNI HAI”
