this took so long but i am so fucking happy with it??? and while coming up with the “theme” of the evolution line i came up with the “story” and admittedly it borrows way too heavily from good omens and actual biblical shit but i had fun so yolo

the four digidestined are meant to bring about the end of the digital world and the real world together, each partner digimon taking the role of one of the horsemen of the apocalypse. at first the digidestined work towards what they think is saving the digital world, but eventually find out that they were actually working to completely sever the connection between the real world and the digital world, destroying the digiworld and starting the destruction of the real world as well. when they find out, they start trying to reverse the damage they’ve done and keep both worlds from being destroyed.

if i keep thinking about it i’ll probably end up designing digidestined and digimon for the other three members of my polycule and have our own ridiculous digimon series like i’m nine years old again and playing with sticks in the backyard and i absolutely don’t mind that at all except im pretty sure i’m the only one who was ever into digimon so uh
