No cuz climber being kind to others and wanting to help are traits that I love so much about him

BUT after reading the comics and his ref sheet description.....I realized he's lowk a hater (but not to a karl kinda level)

FOR A VALID REASON because based on the flashbacks he got in endzone,,,,,,, (trying to protect clarice from the living bloodthirsty amusement park attractions trying to kill her....)

Karl was most definitely one of the statues that tried to slime her out ✌️

Climber is also under the impression that pirates are liars and that got me thinking "hey wait that reminds me of a pirate resin statue that lies A LOT."

I like to think that karl has lied to climber numerous times before, making pirates untrustworthy in his perspective....and of course unknown said their first time meeting each other is a story for another time so if CoN ever comes back and their first encounter gets revealed, karl lying to climber would be a likely scenario.

back to my main point,,,,,, When I first got into law of talos, my biggest mistake was reading karl's page on the oct wiki.

because now I know that it's full of SHIT (I'll save the rant about it for another time bc it would be wayy too long if I talk abt it here...seriously it's 2,489 words long)

No because look at this bullshit making me think karl x climber was a possibility

..... when did he say allat....???? I watched all of law of talos expecting them to have this cool rivalry in the end but no he literally doesn't say anything about climber being his only worthy rival

and yk I actually like the idea of that since I have a feeling karl and climber's fight would've lasted longer if climber locked in....

I mean they were right about them being opposites in personality and morality but aside from that, ts was js straight up LYING to me and possibly all the other people who read this awful wiki page (again, I'll rant about how dogshit it is in full detail another time 🥹✌️)

Back then, I thought karl x climber was karl hating climber and climber being okay w karl??? and in canon it's karl hating climber and climber being scared of karl + not liking him BUT wouldn't exactly hate hate karl (what I assumed initially)

That's actually how most fics I've read went. Some nice onesided romance + karl character development

that might be an exaggeration im sorry but finding out pirates was one of climber's dislikes and his reaction to Mr. Seles in that scrapped endzone page REALLY got me thinking about their actual dynamic

Anyyways I do want to believe that climber does understand karl to some degree....or tried to understand him at least

(Ngl I reaaally wanna go in depth with the energy sources in their respective tournaments and how they were lowk fucked over but maybeeee next time???)

He even decided to hear karl out before they fought

because climber knows what it's like to want freedom and leave the park

Climber also had to fight a bunch of other people but mostly because he thought that was his only way to get to clarice

but yeah ofc karl lies...again...as usual....and attacks him from behind totally killing any bit of trust and understanding he had left /j

In all seriousness.....I still like karlimber but not as much as before and it's no wonder they barely have any fanfiction 😭✌️ and most of them kinda suck however I do have some favorites that I still think about to this day

Actually idk whats up w me liking ships that are insanely disliked by the fandom bc fym karlimber was hated back in 2023????? I had absolutely no idea people didn't like the ship AND the shippers so finding out they only have like...33(?) fanfiction on ao3 was pretty shocking

Based on the stuff I've seen on tiktok,,, some shippers were toxic??? Idk man tiktok ship drama is fucking stupid I honestly stopped engaging in tiktok fandom spaces bc of how awful it is over there

tbh I'll just go and enjoy my rakarlimberice poly headcanon bc I love all of them and I want them all to kiss
