Karin Park adds another sonic creation to a career bright with accolades in the form of the forthcoming official video, radio edit and remix package ‘Look What You’ve Done’, featuring remixes from Wankelmut and Matteo Luis. Although acclaimed for her ever- hauntingly beautiful composition, the Grammy-winning Swedish singer-songwriter still never fails to astound with new material. Captivating from the off, this forthcoming addition ‘Look What You’ve Done’ is Park’s latest triumph, and yet another showcase of her talents.
The original track, inspired by the likes of Motörhead and Depeche Mode is permeated with pumping kicks and Karin’s compelling vocals segueing into the grumbling darkness of gravely bass and heavy percussion.Â
The remix package features Wankelmut and Matteo Luis. German DJ and producer Wankelmut’s recent successes include his catchy cut ‘My Head Is A Jungle’ hitting Number 6 in the UK chart just two weeks ago, and this remix shows he’s still at the top of his game. Starting off slow, he ramps things up to a heady crescendo of strings and rhythmic excitement; an interpretation that bears the hallmark of Wankelmut’s signature sound. Get Physical new boy Matteo Luis works his magic on the original, slowing it down with hypnotic reverb and languid percussion, whilst Park’s mesmeric voice seeps through. With both a remix from Maya Jane Coles and a collaboration with pioneering producers Booka Shade on the horizon, not to mention her forthcoming fifth studio album due out in February 2015, Karin continues to make her mark as a truly individual artist.Â
