Sunday, 18th February, 2018 saw 9 x World and 9 x European Karate Champion, Sensei Wayne Otto OBE, visit the Karate Dojo Ripon, to show us some of his fighting techniques, drills and share his vast competing experience, that has made him one of the most successful Sport Karate athletes in history.

Over 140 karate-ka attended throughout the 4 classes being held at the superb full-time purpose-built Karate Dojo in the centre of Ripon with many attending all 4 sessions available. Students travelled from all over the country to make the most of tapping into the former England National Karate Head Coach’s knowledge and expertise. The demand for a place on the course was so great and was fully booked, well in advance of the date.

Several of our very own Ripon Karate Dojo Students, were noticed in particular, by Sensei Wayne, to attend his Ultimate Fighter’s Boot camp this Summer. This once again highlights what a great standard of karate-ka are being produced by Sensei Ady Gray 6th Dan @ TheKarateDojo.co.uk , from grass roots through to top standard competitors.
