TEIL 3
Karlsruhe
As more of you already know we had a really long trip this summer. And between Hungarian and Czech events we had a one-week break. And I asked my friend from Ka.race.ing about possibility hosting us at their Campus. And after our meeting at FS East we’ve decided that we can come to KIT. I was happy :)
About a road to Karlsruhe... It was cold! Ja ja, at the beginning I complained about the hot weather, but now Germany met us with cold weather.
Everything has started in WĂĽrzburg when we spent 5 hours transfer to continue our way to Karlsruhe. There was rainy and very cold. And all girls went shopping for more warm clothes :D I also bought my favourite mint umbrella <3
Ok, we’ve come to Karlsruhe and where wasn’t warmer. And after analyzing the weather broadcasting we’ve decided to take a hotel. It was very good decision after already one week in camping and before 2 weeks in camping as well ;)
And while our guys drove us to the hotel I ate cookies of my friend at his office and waited for my turn to go there.Â
It was a kind of rehabilitation time and we enjoyed this time.
Let’s talk about my team and reasons why we went to KIT.
Except living, we needed also testing and working place with our car. And guys from KA have provided us by all necessary stuff for this.Â
We spent the most of our time in KIT Campus OST and as I understood right this territory is just for laboratories of different faculties and there are office, workshop and test track of Ka.race.ing team.
After a couple of days, the weather became quite better and we could enjoy the green Landschaft of this city. Btw photo above was made at KIT Campus OST I guess if we could have the territory with grass and trees I would like to spend there more time ;) I really missed it in Moscow.
One day when we decided to try our car on track we everyone realised that our car is seeeehr laut. And we’ve decided to go for tests to Nord Campus of KIT.Â
There was rainy and I thought that we are in the forest.Â
We had one awkward moment when our driver tried to turn around at the road he touched a battery for engine start by our front wing. It wasn’t on high speed but we heard a weird sound and German guys were scared that we damaged our wing after this bump. But everything was alright :D they probably didn’t see how some our guys use rear wing instead of quick jack for pushing the car...Â
so, I guess we could make the weight of our car more less by optimizing our wings stiffness :D
Another confirmation of the high stability of our rear wing FSG 2017
Another interesting situation was one day when I’ve met my old mate - the alumnus of KA team - Chris. It was very nice to meet him at his team’s workshop after 2 years :)Â
the story how we’ve found each other you could check in Chris’ InstagramÂ
btw he came to Instagram with really GEIL song of this FS season :D
Let’s talk about city.Â
Karlsruhe! What a beautiful city. Nice, full of green colors but so developed!Â
After Moscow I couldn’t imagine city where you can travel by train and, attention, by bicycle, where are a lot of greenery and you feel this nearness to nature. But at the same time you can get a good education in one of the best technical university, work at the SIEMENS or at LOREAL Paris factory. Warum nicht?Â
One day when we needed to send docs of one of our teammates for Masters degree one guy from KA gave us bicycles and went with us to post. And it was really cool to drive through parks, allee, and in Germany they have a separate road for cyclists.
I really hope to come back there again <3
