The soft strum of guitar strings mingled sweetly with a gentle drum base, twirling through the room like those earth bugs whose butts light up. The voice amplifier clutched tightly in a grey skinned fist as I felt the melody wind through my bones. This may be a human song but the raw power and emotion it held can easily translate to any being.

The time had arrived for words to slip into the tune, I opened my mouth and began to sing. Luckily for me, I am a half-way decent singer.

Kanaya stiffened in her chair, her eyes widening. She gave me a reproachful look but I continued on. I could see Sollux sneaking glances at her, his expression almost unreadable. Almost.

Sollux raised an ebony eyebrow at me, his mouth set in a fine line of stubbornness. That would all change by the end of this. I was going to make damn sure of it.

Red and blue met jade in the isles below the stage. They slowly turned away from each other, a sigh escaping them against their better judgement. I smiled; I had them right where I wanted them.

Slowly the music died away, the voice amplifier slipping back to its stand as leaped off the stage.
I held out a hand to one of them, my face set. The look in their eyes told me they knew I wouldn’t let this go. I was going to make them realize how much they cared about each other and finally allow them to get together.

 She bites her lip, grasping my hand as I help her to her feet. She brushed past me, her eyes shutting for only a moment before she made her way up the stage. The voice amplifier was soon clutched in her glowing hand, and she would soon realize why nobody else could make her feel the way that Sollux can. Why their past matespritships didn’t work out.
 An elegantly dressed she-troll now stands on the stage where Karkat had been. He has taken her seat in the audience and is looking up at her expectantly. She swallows before sighing. Just who is she?

He was looking at me, and from the angle I was standing at I could see part of his beautiful red and blue eyes. A hand closed around mine, warmth radiating from it like a summer heat wave. Someone’s familiar breath hovered near my lips, so close that I could hear him breathing as if I was the one inhaling and exhaling. He carefully pried the voice amplifier from my fingertips. I opened my eyes to be met with bi-colored glasses.
As Kanaya takes the seat beside Karkat, he flashes a rare smile towards the she-troll. She arches an eyebrow at him but he shakes his head and jerks a thumb towards the stage where the bi-horned troll stands. He surveys Kanaya for a moment before turning on the music. Who is this troll?

I didn’t expect to see such tears in her eyes. I didn’t expect to see pain and longing gazing back at me like a mirror of my own soul. The floodgates had opened, and I felt the song surging on like an oncoming train.

The tears that had threatened to pour into my eyes pooled at the edges of my vision. The need to be with her was crumbling away the firewalls I had so carefully installed around my pump biscuit.

As the song faded into oblivion, I moved my hands to her oh-so-beautiful face. My thumbs rubbed circles near hear soft eyes, wiping away the jade green tears that still lingered. Unconsciously I moved forward, lurching to a halt as our mouths began to touch. Our eyes slowly fell closed, and we embraced. No words were needed at this point. It was like nothing I’ve never felt before this moment. And I’m so glad that now I am able to feel it.
Karkat smirked smugly to himself as he watched his two friends kiss.
