I totally missed tonight's new episode of Gossip Girl. I'll just wait and watch tomorrow but darnit! In other news, Kentucky is still in the lead. ^_^ Although, they both are my top teams.

Day 4 - The meaning behind your Tumblr name.
Well, it's a funny story, really...
My home-away-from-home (besides Biola) is my friend Jamie's house. Generally, if I'm not at my house, I can be found five minutes down the street at Jamie's "farm", coined as such because of the 2 goats (Kevin and Griswald) and the chickens (Dora and SeaWorld just died, so I don't know who all is left or what the names are).
The other day, Jamie and I were discussing names for both my blog and her Etsy line (I think she decided on the name Kansis...check it out!). While I was telling her about my blog, we discussed different qualities about me that could help in naming it.
"I'm good at relating to people where they are. It's deeper than sympathy, but not quite empathy...I don't know what you'd call it. It's borderline empathy..."
Jamie quickly interjected before I could continue, "Wait? What did you say? Borderline empathy? I think you should just name your blog that."
So, that's how my blog came to be named Borderline Empathy: I have a knack at understanding people on a level somewhere beyond sympathy (feeling sorry for their circumstance, but never actually having gone through it) but not exactly at empathy (going through the same thing as another person).
