personally, I’d sink it

i’ve never seen any sort of romance between kaz and nina. if anything i feel like nina’s more of a big sister to him. they’re not as close (in relation to other characters), they sort of often use each other for their own goals (not in a bad way), and nina’s basically the only one not scared of kaz. she’s not afraid to be blunt with him or show her fearlessness, but also she often teases him to his face siblings would, and he does it right back (i.e him calling her ‘nina dear’). also i hate to say it but nina wouldn’t have skirted around her feelings for kaz the way inej did. she would’ve told him upfront, and if he didn’t feel the same then and there, she would’ve moved on without hesitation, never to return (this Isn’t a jab at inej at ALL)

i don’t hate the idea of them together, to each their own or course, but i have always seen them as a power friendship couple instead. they both radiate too much BDE to be together (they’re both very ambitious and head-strong). they’re also just vastly different, kaz is all calculative and nina just rushes into things usually. idk. they wouldn’t mesh well imo
