today I was thinking about how kaz and inej are two seemingly polar opposite people,   one good and one bad on the surface level           kaz thinks of inej as someone lovely and brave while inej thinks of kaz as dangerous and ever-calculating  but  the way the way they both bring out their own qualities in the other is just so spicy.   

kaz being someone who thrives on the fact that he’s considered a  twisted monster, says that he’s willing to pull himself together into some semblance of a man for inej.  inej being someone who thinks of murder as a sin for which she’d have to do hefty penance and says a prayer before she slits a man’s throat, was ready to create a pile of dead bodies when the dregs were beating the shit out of kaz.
