My YouTube videos seem to be getting some attention!  A little more than this blog, but I have my lack of updates to blame for that.  Sorry guys!  Admittingly, getting my band off the ground has consumed my everyday life for the past month, so I wouldn’t have anything worthwhile to share with you all (..yet!).

So, after the 2012 Winter NAMM event, Chris hit me up and thought about putting together some drums covers.  Unlike the conventional ones I’ve done as of late, the purpose of these videos is solely based on the musicianship side of things.  Down to the editing, these video are meant to study, examine, and appreciate on the many levels of virtuosity.  In a nutshell, they are meant to showcase true musicianship from more of a touring drummer’s perspective.

There was no drum aligning/dubbing of any sort, and the song was performed in one seamless take - as it should be!

For all you tech-heads out there, the setup is quite simple:  Digi 002 interface, Focusrite Octopre, Shure and Sennheiser mics

For all you drum nerds, Chris exclusively uses:  Truth Custom Drums, Meinl Cymbals, Pro Mark Drumsticks, Evans Drumheads, Rockstar Energy Drink (LOVE XDURANCE!)
