Some of my alt process photo prints. These are all examples of the kallitype process. Of the handmade processes, this is probably the one that gives results closest to a “typical” print. It’s very similar to Platinum/Palladium printing, the difference being the metal used is silver. Most of these have been toned with selenium to give better archival permanence. I mention this because this also changes the color to being a bit more of a cold black than a warmer brown. Toning with gold gives the best permanence, but the image ends up being even colder and more contrasty. Need to consider all this ahead of time...
