Thanks so much! If you’re talking about the style (lineless vector art), I suggest using a line/shape program to create vector graphics such as Illustrator, but I did just paint this in on photoshop.

You want to really pay attention to your shapes and composition— when the style itself is simple, a good layout can be very powerful, so you want to emphasize and embellish your forms. Also, making sure there are no tangents (lines that touch each other, and rather have lines intersect) and choosing high contrasting colors and putting those next to each other makes a huge difference! I also think artists feel the need to add as much detail as possible to make a piece “good”, but with vector art, it’s more important to find the simplest but most effective way to create forms.

I can also break down my process for this piece really quickly— instead of doing the usual line sketch for the body, I took a big brush and literally blobbed in the movement of the piece. I then used smaller brushes to hone the details before simply coloring over. I added a Gaussian noise filter at the very end to give it some texture (which made it look a little more like an old print and a little less flat), but you can also use a grainy brush and add shadows if you like that style.

yoooo hi anon, yes it pretty much also applies to twitter, hence the "do not repost my gifs" the tiktok and instagram was a different one cos people pretty much post edits/reels and stuff in there.

i usually like get really really mad when ppl dont credit me LOOL cause if only you know how i make gifs, i dont use actions or whatever. i do everything step by step. sharpen my gifs PER layer, use ctrl + alt + f on keyboard for every friggin' frame btw so yeah... i think i have a right 2 get mad when i spend 90% of my time gifing spamming the shortcut keys for sharpening settings loool

i used to put a watermark on my gifs to stop people from using them but they steal/not credit me anyway so what's the fucking point ??? the last time i engaged ppl went CRAAAZYY on my fucking asks just bc i only just wanted ppl to be decent for once and just fucking credit me. it literally just takes three seconds to type my username to acknowledge they use my shit and they never do it

just put urself in my shoes anon. its not that i make gifs for clout or notes or whatever i do this for the love of the game (hi glen. hi daisy. hi shawn 😚) but when you spend an enormous amount of time watching their stuff. tracking the scenes you wanted to gif. making an effort to do ALL the stuff to make ur gif better (aka sharpening and coloring) and ppl do not even have the decency to credit you for the THING you technically made... doesnt it pisses you off? 😭

thats mainly the reason why i stopped using twitter LOOL i see people from the glen, daisy and finn fandom i follow/show up in the equivalent of my tumblr dash use my gifs and other gifmakers' stuff and get like double, sometimes triple the notes we get here and no fucking credit either like dammmn bro??? ik everything on the internet can be used/posted now regardless of who "owns" it but still lool.

rn i dont want to engage w it. when u asked me this all i had was angry flashbacks to when i took it personally—i dont wanna be that person anymore. atleast im trying now 😭 i come here for enjoyment instead i get ragebaited by people. i appreciate anon/friends who tell me when someone uses my gifs somewhere and didnt credit me, yall are my true heroes.
