“Bye bye Qadaffi,” the online hacking group Electr0n reportedly has posted on the top-level Libyan registry domain, nic.ly. The group is just one of the many forces who are supporting the effort to topple Libyan leader Colonel Moammar Gadhafi.  MSNBC.com’s Technolog reports ltt.ly, Libya’s telecom site, was running this headline: “Congratulations, Libya, on emancipation from the rule of the tyrant.” Despite Gadhafi’s recent promise that he’d “be with [civilians] until the end,” as of today, according to NBC’s Richard Engel, Libyan rebels are in control of “almost all of Tripoli.” President Obama has stated Libya is “slipping from the grasp of a tyrant,” and the public is eager to hail the end of Moammar Gadhafi’s 42-year reign. Nevertheless, Gadhafi’s whereabouts are unknown. Some believe he has fled to Venezuela or South Africa, while the US government says he may still be in Libya.
