Just to put this out there

Neither you or your father knew that you were both approached to audition for the same drama to place father and daughter

You had both been the roles they wanted you both to audition for but nothing else

Neither of you ever mentioned it to one another

And neither of you had mentioned this to the other not thinking much of it

You both go through rounds of auditions without ever running into each other

That is until you both are officially revealed as cast members of the drama

You both have a good laugh about it because how on earth had this gone over your heads

And it something you two talk about during the press conferences when promoting the drama

Receiving a lot of teasing from the rest of the cast and staff present when they hear this story

On set it even stranger

The relationship of your roles as father and daughter is completely contradictory to your actual relationship

Which is quite funny as you usually end up struggling to keep a straight face when saying some of the harshest lines to your father

That or you apologize right before filming or immediately after a scene is finished

It’s quite cute in all honesty

Something the cast remarks about a lot noting how sweet it was to see such a genuinely heartwarming and caring relationship between the two of you

Even if your father would get mopey or pouty after some rough lines directed at him by your character

The teasing is endless on other matters too

There’s no denying that Jicheol is a bit more protective and on edge sometimes

Especially when you're interacting with your on screen boyfriend

And fellow actor (Park Bogum if we wanna be funny here lol)

This teasing is the same when they notice you give some odd facial expressions when you see your dad interacting with his onscreen girlfriend

But then you’re also teasing him about some of the lines and mimicking him

It’s a vibe on set I’ll tell you that much

And being able to share the screen with your father as your father

You were hooked on Squid Game the second it was released

For the “plot” you have told everyone

Plot being Wi Hajoon in season one

Something that became very apparent when you would comments about how your ideal types were unhealthily based on fictional characters you’d read or seen

You give an example it goes viral because people can see exactly why

You father can only shake his head as he teases you about your little crush

But he’s a flustered mess during the filming for season two when the entire cast begins referring to him a Hajoon’s father-in-law

Even Hajoon himself goes along with it since it’s quite funny and flattering

However one too many glares from your dad having him stopping and getting teased as a result

Fast forward to the release of season two

You post stories and TikToks and all sorts of little clips of your reactions to scenes in almost every episode

Adding some commentary here and there

Among which you let the following slip

“The Frontman was hot with the mask, but he’s even hotter without it. Wasn’t he in Mr. Sunshine? I think he was in that…”

Not longer after that you start a live wanting to interact with fellow viewers of the newest season but things quickly derail as people want to know who you prefer

Wi Hajoon or Lee Byunghyun

“There’s only one correct answer guys. Come on!”

You eventually do say Wi Hajoon before starting to talk about other things he’s been in that you’ve watched in the past

Among other things that you say

A screen recording of the live goes viral after a news outlet writes about it and soon enough in an interview the cast is seeing it whilst in the middle of promotions

Jicheol is visibly fighting himself to not make faces when Hajoon is asked on how he feels about being the favorite

He stutters out a response clearly flustered

And then everyone wants to know your dear father’s thoughts

“He’s a good guy from what I’ve seen but she’s my daughter. I don’t really like any guy associating with her unless I see that they are treating her well”

“Can I take her out to dinner?”

There’s no question about the number of celebrities present at the event from around the globe

You yourself had had the pleasure of interacting and meeting your fair share of well known faces

This year, however was a little bit different

Not only were you listed as the main model for the Chanel show

You’re first ever mind you with such a title

You were also privy to the knowledge that a number of actors and singers from South Korea would be present at the show

With the K-wave having made its way to your own life you recognized a number of names and matched them to face immediately

Though you were more familiar with the singers there were certain actors that you just couldn’t help but already know from countless clips and teasers in your grasp

The show comes and goes

During your walk, you couldn’t help but let your eyes wander a bit as you tried to scout the familiar names and faces in the crowd

As discreet as you tried being, your eyes lingered a bit too long on one person

Lee Dongwook

Both on your walk out and walk back

Once the shows ends and your free to go mingle around with the various big names and people

You’re quick to leave the dressing areas and find some of the many Kpop singers you’d spotted before your intercepted by the man himself

As nervous as your are, you can’t help but quickly settle into a very comfortable conversation with him

All whilst your mind is bouncing from one thing you’ve noticed about him to the next

Cameras are still very much present and filming this interaction

All of which will be posted more as candid footage later on

But you managed to take a picture with Dongwook which you post

Along with the other countless pictures your take with other celebrities

Flash forward to some promotion schedules for Dongwook’s new movie

For months the footage of the two of you engrossed in conversation and the phot had been feeding many rumors and fan edits around the globe

Nothing to bad

Until just days before his appearance on “Amazing Saturday”

You had posted a video talking about how excited you were to see him on the show (since you regularly watched it)

Along with some other comments that had fans kicking their feet and squealing

It was Dongwook’s first time seeing that video

But the blush on his face said it all

“I can’t wait to see his handsome face on the show! I watched his previous episode a few days ago it was so funny! Oh my gosh and he’s so freaking tall! Like I literally had to tilt my head like this to see him. And I’m already tall too! I’m not one to have a type….but he’s totally my type!”

We’re gonna pick up from where we left off with the Game Caterer’s storyline for a bit

I know Dongwook has to leave before the second day starts so that’s where we’ll end before a timeskip of sorts

So

For the rest of the night

During dinner and the snack rounds as well as the other game rounds

It’s very obvious that you are flustered by your group’s leader saying he was your ideal type

And him getting equally flustered didn’t necessarily help either

But you could only avoid him for so long before NaPD conspired against you

The cunning man

Although he had no way of knowing this is how things would turn out

He’d prearranged groups and you had been placed with Dongwook’s group

Oh the field day that was had when everyone realized the action that must’ve only been done by fate

To add fuel to the fire

The only open seat when you entered the large area was directly beside him

It was obvious he was trying to not make you uncomfortable but also didn’t exactly know how to make you more comfortable

He trying to get everyone to just be normal and stay on track despite the rising redness along his neck

The teasing switches from you to him

And the night pretty much goes like that

Everyone calms down once the competitive spirit really kicks in

But the cameras despite having their set positions and angles picked up the brief interactions and looks between the two of you

It however gives no one more clarity than the blushing and clear avoidance did

The second day

You are visibly much more relaxed

Seeing as though Dongwook had left late the night before to continue filming his drama

It wasn’t a surprise

But you also a bit more glum

The day of filming ends without much incident

Now

AFTER the shows events

You end up running into Dongwook much more frequently than usual

He isn’t necessarily trying to do this and neither are you

But you both quickly look forward to these little moments

Despite being quite shy and flustered you enjoy the little talks between the two of you

He may or may not tell you he does like you

Or at least dance around the idea through his actions

Neither of you are willing to go much further then

Around Jicheol you mainly use terms of endearment or small sayings in French

Sometimes you’ll drop in little tongue twisters just to throw him off

He show interest in learning French from the start but it’s something he does on his own time

It’s only when you two move in together that he starts asking you speak it with him so that he can work on his pronunciation and learn more natural French sayings

You speak in French in your sleep, so he’ll ask you what certain things mean

But when you both finally agree to have you teach him

He’s much much more eager to please and show off his quick learning

He may mess up but he’s trying and won’t stop until it’s as perfect as he can get his pronunciation to be

He struggles with a few sounds as he tends to say “Cherry” rather than “Cherie” when he calls out to you sometimes

The tongue twisters you try and get him to say have him struggling

“Le ver vert va vers le verre vert.” (The green worm goes to the green glass.)

He’s also very adamant that you teach him about the culture and mannerisms he needs to be aware of

He never forget to greet any shop owners when you go, although he sometimes slips and say “Salut” rather than “Bonjour”

One thing he works on is learning how to order drinks and meals as best as he can

He’ll attempt to learn how to read and write, especially the phrases and words you teach him

But the accents and letters that aren’t pronounced tend to throw him off

He does manage to learn how to hold a basic conversation in French, still relying on Korean and English when he doesn’t know a word or fails to remember what the word he’s looking for is in French

When he meets your parents, though, he pulls all the stops, leaving them impressed on how much French he has learned and tries to use as much as possible

Might even say his vows in French should you get married

Hyunyi noticed something was up the second he’d called you asking if you had any plans for the day

He didn’t have any schedules so he wanted to take the day and spend some time with you somewhere

But the second you had answered your phone he knew that was out the window

The raspiness of your voice combined with the nasally huskiness he had long associated with illness had him furrowing his brows

In the days prior you hadn’t mentioned not feel well

Just some minor fatigue as you called it

So what had hit you so harshly that you sounded like that?

It didn’t matter

Not giving you a chance to argue he told you he would be on his way after buying some medicine and ingredients to make a hearty meal for you

He shows up much to your displeasure

Displeasure because you don’t want to get him sick

He doesn’t care though, nagging you about being up and out of bed

He’ll usher you to the couch and quickly tuck you in with a comical amount of blankets

Practically spoon feeding you the medicine as he worries over whether or not it’s the right dosage for you

He puts something on or you to watch as he escapes to the kitchen beginning to make a meal for you

Something light and easy to digest

You’re worried because he has never cooked for you before but he’s surprisingly good around the kitchen

Clearly he’s at least made whatever it is he’s making before

It’s not long before you snooze off to the sound of him chopping something with the soft hum of voices coming from the tv

When you awake, it’s to the soft yet mouthwatering smell of a stew

Hyunyi is setting down the tray on your coffee table before turning to help you sit up

You reach to grab the tray ready to feed yourself but he practically smacks your hands away

“Let me take care of you”

You’re not going to say no to him pampering you now

You let him feed you a few bites before wanting to eat on your own so can eat some too

As he gets up after a little bickering he places a chaste kiss to your lips which you scold him for

You both eat before he cuddles you much to your scolding (again)

Spewing something about how hugs have been proven to help fight illness and stuff

You fall asleep in his arms

Making a note to use those words against him the following week when he will for sure go down with the same bug you are currently battling

Sure enough he does

Let’s start by stating the obvious

Your friend is absolutely diabolical for this

Somehow, someway

They managed to keep this under wraps

What had been pitched to you as a video where you would be talking about your culture and home country (as it was a popular request from your viewers)

Was quickly changed last minute without telling you

Your dear friend had managed to get Lee Dongwook and Gong Yoo in on it

The two had already been booked for a different video to promote their upcoming projects

But you weren’t a part of that

Or rather you didn’t know you actually were

The initial few minutes are rather calm and chill as they settle into the vibes of the video

And then you come up in conversation

“My friend and co-host of another channel is a huge fan of the two of you. She doesn’t know you two are here today…”

“Are you two willing to give her the surprise of a lifetime if I invite her right now?”

How could they say no after the info your friend gives them about you

And the promised food that you’ll be bringing

So, you get a phone call where you are less than friendly about the change of schedule but promise to show up nonetheless once you finish the dish you’re in the middle of making

It’s something the three of them laugh about about once the call is ended

Roughly thirty minutes go by before they’re informed that you’ve arrived at the office

You enter the room and pause

Arms full before stepping back out and looking at the room number

Stepping back in you raise an eyebrow

“I think I’m high on something”

The laughter can’t be held

You look at both Lee Dongwook and Gong Yoo like they’re some apparitions that you aren’t sure sure are actually there

Jicheol is looking at you in a similar fashion

Just more googly eyed

Before you could even set anything down

He was already on his feet taking stuff to put it on the table

Anytime you looked at something while explaining how to eat something or some flavor profiles of the food you’d brough

He’d already grabbed it and handed it to you

He was so attentive and interactive with everything you were saying and explaining

Not to mention the natural connection with some things you were comparing stuff to

When the video is released it naturally grabs some traction due to the high profile guests on the show

And then because of the edits of Jicheol having his eyes glued to you for the entirety of the video

People start reading cards for the two of you

Honing on the small actions you both took around one another

It is quite the headliner

And they don’t even know that the two of did indeed exchange numbers to keep talking

Mainly about food for a bit

And then you get invited on a fishing trip to learn more about the seafood culture of your country

The early stages of this relationship

I feel like we’ve talked about everything but this phase

Which is very odd ngl

Should’ve probably started from ground zero from the start

Oh well!

When the two of you first start talking, there obviously some sort of a connection

And it stems from more than just the forced bonding that was happening on set

Somehow

The two of you are just about to understand each other

Conversing naturally and also finding comfort in the silence left between one another

To the closest people to you it’s quite a shock

You normally don’t warm up to people that quickly

And then seeing you a bit shy (initially) and giggly next to Hyunyi

But they quickly grow used to you it

To say you have a 4D personality with him is an understatement

Like the two of you couldn’t be more different upon first glance

But you’re actually quite similar in private

He still doesn’t believe that you just naturally have this adorable and cute quality to you

And your affinity for collecting cute things

You two are really talking and getting to know one another as people and note actors

Yes the acting aspect is cool but those are just personas
