Kabelvag, Market Square, Cubus, 2001
The design of the central square by the harbor as a market square was inspired from traditional Norwegian motives. The pavement was built with site-specific materials, granite from Lødingen Koppensteiner and pebbles coming from Lofoten beaches. For the lighting of the spaces were specially chosen QL lights for the main lamps, fiber optic for traffic barriers and gaps between pavement surfaces. Cubus published in summer 2001 a book about the project: "Braking the Waves", that eventually among the main things to promote Kabelvag as a place.
