I canât believe August is almost over!! Where did this year go??
On another note, Iâm having issues with the focus settings on my camera, so my photos are coming out a little strange... but it feels good to be getting back into documenting my studies! I had homework for my French class today at 15h30 and then class registration is today at 15h!
Is anyone else excited for fall semester? Are classes online or in-person for you?
xx

Iâm finally back home in Colorado! I canât believe it -- but my room is wholesome and beautiful. My grandpa handed down nearly 100Â âgreat collectionâ books of classics and my room is filled!!! Iâll post pictures soon. <3
I only have one week left of âclassesâ even though itâs just three papers I have to submit online. Canât believe Iâm almost done!
I need some new tumblr challenges now that I made it through 100 days of productivity, so if anyone has any ideas please tag me or send them my way!
Hope everyone is staying safe, healthy, and happy. xx
[19.09.20] ⧠4/100 days of gratitude
ft. the beginning-of-the-semester phase where I go through each syllabus and put all of the assignments onto my homework calendar
Apologies for the delay in posting! Last week I finally got my room fully situated (Iâll post pictures soon), and this past week was my first week of class!! I have so much homework already, but the institute is so wonderful. Iâve already met all of the professors in my program, and all of the classrooms have hybrid online and in-person systems to facilitate online work and rotations, including QR codes and numbered seats in each classroom for contact tracing purposes. Here is my class schedule:
⧠ANSO104 - Social Theory I: Classical and Contemporary Debates ⧠ANSO081 - Research Methods in Anthropology and Sociology ⧠ANSO118 - Anthropology of Human Rights ⧠ANSO099 - Anthropological Perspectives on Reproductive Politics in the 21st Century ⧠IA103 - Visual Archives of Violence
These past few weeks I have been very grateful to be living a very privileged life; I have a wonderful apartment, living my dream life in Europe, and I am getting a wonderful education. I know I wouldnât be where I am today if it werenât for the well-off family I was raised in, the opportunities I have been given, and having access to good education throughout my life. However, access to education in most places in todayâs world is still very limited; access is still too often based on class and status. I hope that, with my field of study and subsequent career, I can advocate to make education accessible to everyone.
Good luck to everyone who is just beginning their fall semesters. x
