I went in to work at 4am today, to unload our weekly truck shipment. Behind the store, we have a storage container where we keep our shelves and empty totes. While waiting on my coworker to get there, I was retrieving the empty totes for the truck, in the dark. It’s a little difficult to slide them, as the stacks are very heavy, and there’s a 6 inch drop out of the container you have to be careful of (or the stack will tip over and it’s too heavy to stop). I got a few stacks out, used the dolly to wheel them to the truck, and after shoving another stack to the edge, and hopping out to pull it down safely, I was startled to look down and see this.

I guess it had gotten in a few days earlier, while someone was getting into the container, then got stuck inside. The thing heats up like an oven in the sun, and it’s been close to 90 in the past two days. I’m so glad that I saw it before dropping the stack of totes on it, that would have been horrific.
